Through tours, lectures and other educational projects, LaMikdash is bringing the Temple Mount back into the national conciousness of the Jewish people. The organization seeks to educate and energize the Jewish masses to reconnect with their holiest site by bringing them up to the Temple Mount itself.

How Do We Change This Abomination?
It would appear that as long as the Israeli authorities control access to the Mount, there will be no change to the status quo. These hours are based on a government decision that exists for several decades since the Mount was liberated in the Six Day War. Since the original decision created by the labor government, there have been so-called nationalistic governments that have left this decision standing, thereby denying our right to the Mount. It would, therefore, seem that it would take a revolutionary change to the system, in order to rid ourselves of the status quo.

Why Should The Mount Be Closed?
The fact that the authorities close the Temple Mount to our access, except for tourist visiting hours is outrageous and disgraceful. The only reason why they can get away with this is because there is no demand on our part to keep it open for us or to change the status quo that exists. What would the Maccabees say about this generation that willingly gives away the access to the Temple Mount?

Temple Mount Is Open! (Jan., 01, 2009)
Several reports were circulating that the Temple mount had been closed because of the current security situation. The mount was indeed closed early this week, but is now open to the public during the normal visiting hours. We will stay on top of the situation and update the site as needed.
Shabbat Shalom,
