Through tours, lectures and other educational projects, LaMikdash is bringing the Temple Mount back into the national conciousness of the Jewish people. The organization seeks to educate and energize the Jewish masses to reconnect with their holiest site by bringing them up to the Temple Mount itself.
Be Real Jews
Since we just read Parshat Bo that deals with the Korban Pesach, I guess it is as good a time as any to start a discourse on the matter.
What amazes me the most about the Jewish People is months before Pesach rolls around every year, the ads for spending the holiday at this hotel or that start appearing in the parsha sheets and the newspapers.
These ads obviously prove that there is a very big demand for hotel rooms for Pesach. The only thing that I can say to both the advertisers and the consumers is, even if you have little faith that there will be a Korban Pesach this year, at least show Ha-Shem that you wanted there to be a Korban and that you would have made every effort to participate if the opportunity presented itself.
By advertising Pesach at a hotel and placing your reservation for your room, whether in Israel or elsewhere, you are showing not only your total lack of faith that we will renew the service to Ha-Shem on the Temple Mount, but also your total disregard for Ha-Shem's commandments.
Unfortunately, in many ways, our fellow Jews prove that the anti-Semites are right and that we're nothing more than a religion of money and interests.
Instead of acting like the light unto the nations by showing the world the true message of Pesach - the onmipetence of Ha-Shem over all the fake gods, we've replaced this with a message of comfort and freedom of worship. If this is the message of Pesach then I guess there is nothing wrong with going to hotels and forgetting about the Korban Pesach.
But no this is not the message of Pesach. At least change the name of the holiday. Call it the holiday of Matza and Maror. Call it the holiday of freedom and comfort. Call it anything you want, just don't call it Pesach anymore. For Pesach is the holiday of the Korban Pesach and if you don't believe in it then stop being hypocrytical.
If you want to be a real Jew then do what ever is in your power that we should be ablt to bring the Korban Pesach and if we fail, then we should return to our homes with a mixed feeling of sadness that another year will pass without a Korban Pesach and happiness that at least we tried.
